We are the movies, and the movies are us.

WHY?

(The serious bit)

I fell in love with movies when I was kid. I still remember the moment--seeing Jurassic Park at a local theater with my dad. It was the first time I felt that feeling--when you have such a strong connection with what you just watched, that you leave the theater and your mind is still stuck in the movie. From then on, I became addicted to that feeling.

In Jurassic Park it was the world; the adventure. In Angels in the Outfield & Bridge on the River Kwai it was the music. Goosebumps. We used to watch It's A Wonderful Life together every Christmas Eve--I love that storyIn Back to the Future I think it was just about everything. Music became a big part of it for me. The moments, and the music that accompanied them.

It really all started out as that--trying to recreate the feeling I felt during some of those moments that had such an impact. I think I'm still chasing it today. I look for it in everything I work on. No matter what type of project it is, I always try to find that emotional connection with the subject matter that gives it meaning.
